01 / VAUGHN STREET BUNGALOW
The Vaughn Street Bungalow is home to Nomad Collective founder, Brooke Morgan. An ongoing project, she and her husband have slowly transformed this 1940’s home with intentional layers and details. Integrating original art, showcasing heirlooms, and playing with wall color are a few design notes that have helped make this house a home.
“The living room is my favorite part of our home…we took a risk by going dark with the walls…I thought it would close the room in, but it had the reverse effect, expanding it like the night sky. I also love our fireplace…a true convergence of our styles and our first major undertaking after moving in - an antique wood mantel layered with smooth, white quartz. With this space, we decided to focus on investment pieces, that would stand the test of time. It has really given me the confidence to take risks and mix styles, even if it takes time to tweak and find harmony and balance.”
